Abstract: Objective:To investigate the circadian distribution of pain onset in patients with unstable angina pectoris (UAP).Methods:312 patients with UAP were grouped according to the time of onset of symptoms in 6-hour intervals, viz.00:00~06:00,07:00~12:00,13:00~18:00 and 19:00~24:00.Results:The peak incidence of pain onset occurred between 6A.M. and noon (P<0.001), the circadian distribution of pain onset was analyzed also by gender, age groups and previous medical history. Conclusions:This study clearly demonstrates a statistically significant variation in the circadian distribution of pain onset in UAP.
