Abstract: Under the specific geological condition,the different geophysical exploration methods have differentdetection effect.Coal bearing strata in Shouyang have characteristics of low strata obliquity,larger coal seam thickness and thin quaternary overburden,is suitable for coal seam goaf tracing by the use of high density resistivity method.Exemplifies by Shouyang coal seam goaf detection,points out that the high density resistivity method is an effective means in search for coal seam goaf.
