Abstract: Gene therapy is a kind of new bio-medical treatment developed with modern molecular biology techniques in the last ten years. Recombinant adeno-associated virus is a potential vector, so it becomes a research hotspot in recent years. Hepatitis, cirrhosis and liver cancer are harmful to human healthy in China as well as all over the world. According to this, the researchers do a lot of work about recombinat adeno-associated virus (rAAV) gene therapy for liver disease. This paper reviewed the study about the application and the limitations of rAAV in gene therapy of liver diseases.
