Abstract: HPV has more than 100 subtypes. Persistent infection with high risk HPV is essential for invasive cervical cancer. Detecting and genotyping HPV is very important for early detection and prevention of cervical lesions. The HPV genotyping technology has developed rapidly in recent years. This review summarized the novel progress of subtyping methods.
