Abstract: c-Jun N-terminal Kinase(JNK)family is one of members of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)superfamily.MAPK signal pathway is cascade reaction of many stage protein kinese,which mainly includes MAPK,MAPKK and MAPKKK.There are many scaffolding proteins in the JNK signal pathway,such as JIP,JAMP,POSH and so on.These scaffolding proteins can make com- pounds with JNK and other members in the JNK signal pathway and regulate their activities and intracellular location.The JNK signal pathway can be activated by cytokines,growth factors,stresses,and so on.Many studies suggest that JNK activation play a pivotal role in cell differentiation,apoptosis,stress,the initiation and progress of considerable human diseases.JNK signal pathway also can interact with other signal pathways.In this review,we mainly focus on the progress in mechanism of JNK activation.
