Abstract: Intraoperative radiotherapy is utilized as a adjuvant method of multimodality approach to gastric cancer.The final goal of IORT is to improve local control rate.Clinical studies show that IORT can improve local control rate and diseas-free survival,especially when combined with other adjuvant ap- proaches in local advanced gastric cancer.This article aimes at reviewing the current status of intraopera- tive radiotherapy for gastric cancer.
