Application of soil pressure model considering deformation in the simulations on the braced system in excavation

Abstract: Logical design of braced system is the key issue in the construction of excavation.The influenced mechanisms of top beam and brace on the retaining structures are analyzed respectively in this paper.A finite element program considering the influence of deformation on soil pressure,top beam and brace on retaining structures beam is designed.Ring beam is regarded as a horizontal beam,then an approach that can consider the integrated effects of top beam and brace is presented.The computed results by typical cases show the distribution of later deformation at pile top and the effect of braced system.This should be a good reference for the design and construction of braced system in excavation engineering.
