Study on the pile deformation control of bridge head soft foundation treated by vacuum combined with surcharge preloading

Abstract:  To apply vacuum combined with surcharge preloading on the bridge head soft soil drive cast-place-piles constructed,the control of the pile displacement is the crucial point.Study analysis shows that pile displacement can be effectively controlled if the constructed drive cast-place-piles are included in the vacuum preloading area and vacuity & embankment load are adjusted dynamically.Compared to the embankment load and horizontal force above the pile,the vacuum load has less influence on the pile under the same load intensity,and the mechanic law of the pile can be analyzed with "m" method.To reduce the displacement of the pile constructed and the construction difficulty,the drive cast-place-pile should be constructed before the vacuum preloading if the condition is allowed.
