Abstract: 个人主义思潮自上世纪初舶来中国以后,就长期处在被误读的状态,最常见的对个人主义的误读就是把它窄化为"自私"的代名词.本文在对"个人主义"人生哲学的实质内涵加以客观还原的基础上,以张爱玲的小说名篇<倾城之恋>为个案,具体分析了西方个人主义在中国现代小说中的"变形"及其所衍生的生存价值问题.
