Abstract: Recent animal experiments demonstrated that neurogenesis mad angiogenesis involxed in mechanisms of stroke recovery.Transplanted stem cells can improve the neurological function after stroke.Vascular endothelial growth factor can also improve the neurological function after stroke via enhenceing angiogenesis.This article reviews the advances in combined treatment of stem cells and vascular endothelial growth factor in ischemic brain injury.
